You're in Daytona, now what?
Yeah, it's warm deep down in Dixie!
ABM's here all week. To get up to the minute reports, why not hook up with us!
Or, "like us', on facebook at..
With daytime temps topping the 80's, we're beginning to wonder why we dragged this tiny propane heater along with us. This could be the best ten days of spring bike week weather we've ever had!
Here's a short list of things to do, places to go, and joints where you can find good bikers to hang with.
For even more area bike week info, make this one of your first stops:

(don't stay too long or leave too early, or you'll miss the..)
Budweiser Clydesdale parade down Main St, Daytona Beach, 2:00pm.
Camping/RV
Long time ABM listeners know we only do "hotels" once a year. Ten days with a roof can be costly, and you never know if you'll be taking home some little "guests". Bikers willing to use a smart phone, computer, or simply make the call for places with reasonable rates will be rewarded by saving a grand or two!
Caklebery Campground at the Cabbage Patch
(southwest of the speedway, about 9 miles out)
Adjoins the world famous "Cole Slaw Wrestling" pit.
Regular working folks. Nothing fancy, yet nice. Get there
early and pick out a nice site under the oak trees.
Rv's tents, etc.
386-428-5459
Flea Farmers Market
Tent, Rv, no full hookups
2987 Bellevue Ave Daytona Bch
(been there, did that..hi end price, low end gulag-style showers, but very close to the speedway)
KOA
Just across the street from the above gulag, very expensive, and fills up quickly.
The All American Club
(Boozefighters MC, for location, scroll back up the page to March 9th.)
They're offering "free" rv parking, with hookups, and campsites available.
We haven't been yet, but plan on checking it out. They seem to be good people.
Lots of activities all week long here, including daily free chili cheese dogs, corned beef/cabbage on select days, and that alone will suck in some bikers like moths to a yellow light!
386-345-3365
Volusia Speedway Park
1500 E Highway 40, DeLeon Springs
386-985-4402
Rv, tent camping, hot showers food, beverage, vendors no hook ups.
Haven't been to this one, but it's farther out, and may be less expensive.
Thunder Gulch CG
2551 US1, Bunnell, Fl.
386-437-3135
Heavy biker scene, adjoining bar, plenty of biker activities.
A little more than we like to shell out, but not a bad place to hang your hat.
White Eagle Lounge
US1, a few miles north of Destination Daytona, in "Korona", Fl.
Primitive camping only.
Real people, great scene, bands every day.
Home of the world famous "crapper" races.
Daytona 200 MC
3602 International Speedway Boulevard (rt 92 out of Daytona)
Beautiful clubhouse, full kitchen, big screen tv, nice a/c, bathroooms.
Hint: Pick a campsite away from rt 92. That road has more potholes than China has people, and the ka-thump, ka-thump, ka-thump from passing cages and 18 wheelers will keep you up all night!
For ride in bikers, this place has it all, like a set up tent awaiting your arrival.
NO RV's, no cages, just motorcycles.
386-747-7157
Nefarious, or maybe not so much, hangouts:
Boot Hill Saloon
They seem to sell as many of their famous tee shirts as beer.

Great bbq buffet $8.50
Dirty Harry's

Full Moon Saloon
Bar with the big lot, directly across from Dirty's
daily "best buns" chaps contests, 1-7pm.
bands every day
home of the $2 bloody mary.
Cabbage Patch Biker Bar
Samsula, s/w of the speedway.
"Cole Slaw Wrestling", Wednesday, & next Saturday, high noon.
(actually, the event begins with tractor-shredding of the 'slaw, an' you ain't going to see them half-nekked ladies flopping around in the green stuff until maybe 2pm.)
Don't pay to park! You'll see official looking dudes waving you in. Save the money and get ya a nice sandwich or a frosty malt beverage, there should be plenty of room inside the compound.
This place has wall to wall bands all ten days.

As if that isn't enough, JP Cycles is right next door, and their parking lot will be stuffed with all kinds of goodies to make your biker lifestyle all the more enjoyable. You could spend an entire day shuffling around this place. DD hosts bands daily, with Jackyl later in the rally.
