Laconia Weather on Florida's Central Coast?

-Even the Bud Clydesdales were rained out!-

Riding in decent weather is the major reason why American bikers head to Dayotna in March.  Those who arrived Friday found it hot...really hot.  Locals know when the wind blows hard off the ocean, there will be showers, and the harder the wind blows, the wetter it gets.  Friday 3pm-Rain, Saturday 1pm-Rain. By yesterday, the Canadians had "cabin fever", threw caution to the wind, and got wet three times.  Did we mention during all of this rain, the wind blew off the ocean at 20-30mph?  Wanted:  Metorologists.

Today marks the a new beginning.  Woke up with the sun, 70 degrees, and great weather for the main part of Daytona Bike Week.

You're in Daytona, what's hot this week?

Oak Hill Seafood

clams/100-count bag-$25

Steam the Clams, roast the O's over coals or an open fire being careful to avoid the explosions!

JB's Fish Camp
A1A south, beachside, New Smyrn Beach
Southern style seafood, Bands, riverside dining.
My bros say it's a decent place.

While you're in New Smyrna Bch, check out the "Dairy Queen", US1 north side of town for fully loaded $1. hot dogs, and creamy hot fudge over vanilla ice cream...

In general, the farther south you travel on US1/A1A, the more reasonable the dining experience, and places to rest your head.  We think mostly it's due to the northern bikers wanting to be closer to home, rather than putting on an extra 30 miles.  See for yourself.  We think the locals are a lot friendlier down here too.  You be the judge.  Next time you're at the Cabbage Patch, instead of heading back to the speedway, go due east to A1A, and hang a right.  Pretty scenery too.

American Biker Minute's Ride of the Rally:

How does little traffic, 45-50mph, riding along the river so close you can smell the old south, almost brushing up against hanging spanish moss from 100 year old oak trees, spotting more lilly pads China has tea leaves, an' grabbing ya a riverside table at ye olde crab shack sound?  Directions, what to look for, even treat your iron steed to a non-ethanol fillup, while you get ya some deep fried blue crabs!

Sign up now, so you won't miss a mile of this great ride!
