Next Week, Daytona Bike Week!

Daytona Bike Week!
March Friday, Mar 8 - Sunday, Mar 17

hot or cold?

Weather along Florida's east coast has been on a roller coaster this year.  We've been in the mid eighties, to low 30's along the beaches, with a frosty finish scheduled for week's end.  No worries though, as warm ocean and inland h2o is keeping a lid on freezing temperatures.  Our coolest day would have most of the dudes in Kansas City yanking battery tender wires from dusty bikes.

broke or loaded?
In the next few days, we'll outline a strategy for making the trip to Daytona as financially feasable as possible.  Some people can't stomach the thought of going without a nice comfy bed with fresh sheets.  Others freak at the thought of having to pay 150-200 bucks a night for an extra pillow and spotted blanket.  To each his or her own, and we'll offer drink, eat, and sleep advice according to net worth.

at long last, goodbye corn juice!
An interesting sunshine state development has occurred since last spring.  gasoline stations in the sunshine state are now free to offer fuel with no ethanol content.  Jacksonville, Florida has at least 7 pumps at area "Gate" stations, offering 89 octane real gas for a little over four bucks a gallon.  A sunoco station on "Beach Boulevard" is selling 104 octane GT-260 for $8.60.  If that sounds like a ripoff, consider Daytona Intl Speedway's price of $11.10 for the same juice.  Amazing is that, aside from area marinas, and Daytona Gas 'n' Grills, on US1, a few blocks northwest of the Beach Street vendor area, Volusia county has few vendors offering real gas.  Non believers, run your tank down to a quarter full, and refill twice with real gas.  89 octane needs a couple shot glasses of Lucas octane booster, ten bucks, in the red bottle.  Get ready to smile away, and when you come down next year, expect to see stations offering straight 93 octane!  Ah, remember the old days?
They're back!
Hope you like the look of our new website.  As in the 106 inch HD stroker rebuild, saying you're gonna do it is one thing;  getting it done?  Whew.

We'll be headed to Daytona next week, livin' the life with you, the motorcycle lifestyle lovin' public.  Maybe we'll see you there.
